Seed
- Initial Watering
Water at least once a day, sometimes twice, to keep the top half-inch moist but not pooling. Continue this until the seed germinates and reaches mowable height (1-3 weeks). - Transition to Normal Watering
Once established, water as a normal lawn, requiring about an inch of water per week from rain or manual watering.

Sod
- Immediate Watering
Begin watering as soon as the sod is installed. Water slowly to soak into the sod pad and avoid runoff. Check under the corners to ensure thorough watering and avoid drying of exposed edges. Best times to water are early morning or late afternoon. - First Two Weeks
Maintain this watering method, adjusting amounts based on temperature and rainfall. Avoid foot traffic. - Post Two Weeks
Extend the interval between waterings. After three weeks, transition to a normal watering cycle. Monitor closely if installed during summer.
